Iran visa on Arrival

Iran visa on arrival (VOA) is a tourist visa which can be obtained from 12 main airports in Iran. In fact, Iran tourist visa will be valid for 30 days.

Seventy nationalities can obtain Iran visa on arrival. When you arrive at the airport in Iran, you will go to the visa office at the airport. Depending on the time of you arrival and the season of travelling, you’ll have to stand in line from 20 to 45 minutes until they issue Iran visa. The waiting time can get even longer if there’s a large group a head of you.

Iran visa requirements

To apply for Iran visa, you will need to prepare the following documents:

1. Your passport valid for at least six months
2. Your color photo to be attached to your visa application form
3. Departure ticket
4. Iran visa authorization code
5. Visa stamp
6. Hotel reservation vouchers or an invitation from an Iranian travel agency (Touring Persia Tours&Travel agency) 

What countries are not eligible for Iran visa on arrival?

Nationalities and passport holder of the US, Canada, the UK, Jordan, Afghanistan, Somalia, India, Bangladesh, Iraq and Colombia are not able to get Iran visa on arrival. 

Iran Visa on Arrival help

1. A) You will not get Iran visa if you have been to Israel and have an Israeli stamp on your passport.
2. B) It is better to apply for Iran visa authorization code from an Iranian travel agency and collect your visa on arrival.
3. C) Iranian nationals holding other countries’ passports can not apply for visa on arrival 

Citizens of the following countries can travel to Iran visa free:

Nationalities from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Armenia, Georgia, Malaysia, Syria and Venezuela are allowed to enter Iran without getting a visa 

Visa Free Zone in Iran

All nationalities except those who are not eligible for visa on arrival can enter Kish Island and Qeshm Island without obtaining Iran visa
